The minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management, and social development said on the 1st of April that it is part of President Muhammadu Buhari’s plans to help poor Nigerians cope with the effect of the lockdown order over coronavirus outbreak.

Dr. Oluseyi Aba urged the federal and state governments to ensure that Nigerians get paid some stipend to enable them to cope with the total lockdown.
