The National Center for Disease Control has just reported 86 new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria.
According to NCDC report, SOFO.ng has learned that 86 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic has been confirmed in five states this morning, bringing the total in Nigeria to 627.
NCDC Twitted on her twitter handle this morning that seventy new cases were confirmed in Lagos state, seven in the Federal Capital Territory, three cases both Katsina and Akwa Ibom state, one in Jigawa state, Bauchi state and Borno State. As at when this report was collated, the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria is 627, while 170 have been discharged while we have 21 records of Death.
Let us not forget that SOFO reported that the late Chief of Staff in President Mohammadu Buhari’s Administration, Mallam Abba Kyari was among those that passed away by the infection of the virus. Mallam Abba Kyari died on Friday, April 17th, 2020 and he was buried on Saturday, April 18th,2020 at the force cemetery in Abuja.
Coronavirus is an infection that has affected the economic and social status in more than 150 countries in the world with over 100,000 deaths across the world. The virus that has been nicknamed COVID19 has caused a lot of socio-economical problems which had left millions of people jobless across the countries of the world and had left a tragedic history on many lives.
In other to limit the effect of the virus on the citizens, the government have ordered a total lockdown in 3 states in the nation which involves Lagos, Ogun and FCT. According to the facts given by scholars to reduce the spread of the virus in the country, the Government has issued a total lockdown in this areas as stated above. In addition to this report, the governor of some states in the country have issued a partial lockdown in some states of the federation. According to the comments made by the citizens of the country, the citizens have reacted their dissatisfaction on the lockdown which have affected their daily activities and have affected their daily living. The citizen has issued a protest in other to express their pain on the lockdown which was issued by the federal government even without showing interest in their living by not providing enough palliative to the citizen. The citizen complained that cannot stay in their various homes and have a peace of mind because the armed robbers and violent youths in this affected areas attack them consecutively by snatching what they have with them with coercively which is against the criminal law of the country.
