But now, the true cause of the incident has been revealed to be explosive. Sofo News has learned that the explosives were been conveyed in transit to Edo state from Oyo state. The truck conveying the explosives developed mechanics faults along the way around Eleyowo, the place of the major impact of the explosion, and later exploded after a long time injuring thirteen people and affecting over 70 houses and religious buildings and a private boarding secondary school.

He further stressed his commitment to making sure that they are not left alone to suffer the consequence and burden of the explosion alone but needs their cooperation throughout the whole process. While showing his satisfaction with the state of the ongoing repair work on the affected portion of the popular road that leads to the Akure airport, Governor Akeredolu made it know that the construction was being done by the Direct Labour Agency of the Ondo State’s Ministry of Works. The repair of the road is very important and cogent to the state because it serves as the shortest route to access many other parts of the country through Akure.
In another news, the special adviser to the Ondo state governor on Lands, Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Raimi Aminu had earlier confirmed to us that the work done on the road was being reconstructed with specifications of the Federal Ministry of Works.
