Idriss Déby, Chadian President
“I can assure Chadians, the entire zone that border with Niger, Nigeria, and Cameroon is now under control, not even a single Boko Haram Terrorist. We taught them a lesson they will never forget, those of them alive.”
After recording the loss of 92 soldiers to vicious killing by the Boko Haram Terrorist, a few days ago, the Chadian military, led by President Idriss Déby, commenced a major operation against the Boko Haram Terrorist group. Boko Haram took out the Chadian troops including their reinforcements, destroyed dozens of vehicles and stole firepower and heavy weapons. Derby vows to wipe out the Boko haram sect and ordered the military to prepare for battle.
Within 72 hours of announcing the intention, the Chadian army deployed gunships, gun trucks, armored vehicles and a large number of soldiers to the war zone.

The Chadian president, Idriss Déby in a full military apparatus while holding a walkie-talkie for communication with the troops, witnessed the launch of the war.
The battle fully began on Sunday, March 29, and Chadian troops have already gained the upper hand.
Many terrorists have been killed while others are retreating from their positions within villages around Lake Chad due to the military’s superior firepower.
In his response to the onslaught of his men, Boko Haram leader, Shekau has charged jittery terrorists amid heavy firepower from Chadian forces!
In a message published by HumAngle on Wednesday, Shekau told his members to fight on and never to give in to resistance from the Chadian army.
This will be the first time that Abubakar Shakau seems to have lost it. He has never been reported warning his troops against fleeing any previous battle.
Sectional Chief of Boko Haram terrorists, Shekau, in the 5-minute audio, addressed to Iddris Deby, President of Chad, declared:
“Do not think because you have fought several secular wars on several fronts, you can fight those of us that chose to fight for the sake of religion.”
Abubakar Shekau, Boko Haram Leader
Shekau remains elusive despite United States’ $7million bounty. The U.S. had on June 21, 2012, designated him a Global Terrorist. I wish that a member of the Chadian forces gets the US bounty on Shekau’s head!
However, this gallant move by the Chadian military had prompted many Nigerians to challenge the leadership of the Nigerian Army for their decision to politicize the Boko Haram situation. One Twitter user asked saying;
What’s stopping the Nigerian Army from taking advantage of president Idriss Déby of Chad’s offensive against Boko Haram terrorists, since these terrorists would retreat into Nigeria?

Another one posted saying;
I’m not discrediting the Armed Forces of Nigeria. They’re eminently gallant to annihilate Boko Haram in a week. The Crux of the matter is, the Nigerian army is handicapped. They cannot attack Boko Haram terrorist unless there is clearance from Abuja, and Abuja is heavily COMPROMISED, hence, COMPLICIT!
