Fire Destroys Shops At Dugbe Market in Ibadan (Photos,Videos)

Just a few moments after CAC headquarters, another fire outbreak is taking place at Dugbe Alawo in Ibadan. The fire had destroyed shops and offices, while millions of naira in properties have been lost.

About thirteen minutes ago, we reported the Corporate Affairs Commission headquarters fire incident, another fire outbreak is currently destroying office buildings and some shops around the Dugbe Alawo market, Sofo News can confirm. The affected building situated beside United Bank for Africa’s regional headquarters in Ibadan, Oyo State capital caught fire in the early hours of Thursday. The efforts of the onlookers to put out the fire were not enough as lots of valuables have been lost to the inferno.

A Twitter user by handle @iamjaiyeer sadly sent out the hint via the social media platform, saying,

My dad’s whole office building is on fire at dugbe Ibadan right now.. any fire services around for, please.

According to a Sofo correspondent, goods and valuables worth millions of naira were destroyed in the raging fire incident at the popular Dugbe market in the heart of the city of Ibadan.

Lately, Ibadan has had its large share of different fire outbreaks just this year alone. Some locals were saying the persistent fire incident in the state is not natural. They opined that spiritual means were to be sourced in order to overcome the challenges of fire destroying properties and goods.

As much as we wouldn’t want to believe in this, we still want to appeal to the market people to always follow safety protocols while going about their day to day activities.
