Despite the Covid-19 pandemic and the state of the nation’s healthcare system, the Delta state doctors have issued a directive to all the private and public hospitals across the state to shutdown over undue harassment by the Police.

According to the news tip, SOFO can confirm that Delta state factor of doctors has issued a directive to all the hospitals across the state with immediate effect to shutdown over undue harassment received from the men of the Nigerian Police force.

In a press briefing, the representative of the Delta state doctors group made it known to men of the press of their decision to halt healthcare services across the state, and this move will affect all categories of medical workers in the state who have been molested by the police.

As was stated by the doctors working in the federal medical center who is also associated with the National Association of Resident Doctors, it was stated that the indefinite strike came up as a result of the nonchalant behavior that was condoned by the police over the members of this hospital.

In a press report held today Thursday 9th April, 2020, the resident doctors stated that the strike was to respond to the harassment condone on their members and with this, all hospitals across the state are hereby compelled to shutdown and embark on an indefinite strike.
