The coronavirus death toll in the United States of America showed some signs of slowing with just under 1,000 deaths between Thursday and Friday morning, although the nationwide death toll continues to increase and is getting close to 17,000, according to an National Broadcasting Corporation News tally today April 10th, 2020.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in New York State at when the news was gathered by sofo.ng is 162,882 persons.
