German champions have completed the signing of French 18 year old defender Tanguy Koussai for free from PSG on a four-year contract.
Speaking at the unveiling, Bayern sports director Hasan Salihamidzic said “In our eyes he is one of the biggest talents in Europe, His main position is centre-back, but he can play in other positions. We are sure he will have a big career and will strengthen our squad.”
The French U-18 International joined the French champions academy at the age of 14.
He made his professional debut this season and had 13 appearances for PSG, including two in the Champions League, when the Ligue 1 season was halted in early March due to the coronavirus.
Koussai said after signing for Bayern Munich, “I am very happy to be able to play for such a large and traditional club, I could hardly wait to sign the contract. I really hope that I will do well here and I’ll work hard to make that happen.”
Koussai is the second player Bayern Münich have gotten on a free deal ahead of next season, after signing Schalke goal keeper Alexander Nuebel.
