The rumored return of Jadon Sancho to Manchester City, the club he left three years ago at age 17 has been tagged ‘No Sense’ by Manchester City Coach Josep Guardiola.
The 20 year old England international is one of Europe’s prospects. Who has been linked with top European clubs Ranging from Barcelona in the La Liga to Manchester United in the English Premier League.
With the confirmed departure of Leroy Sane which is likely to Bayern Munich, there have been rumours that City would need a player with the profile of the former City academy player.
But when the former Barcelona coach was asked he said, “No, no, no. He decided to leave. Why should he decide to come back? We wanted him to stay like Eric Garcia and Phil (Foden) but he decided like Leroy now and myself, when I decided to move to other countries to be a manager, to move.
When he decided to move to Dortmund it’s not because he is going to decide to come back one year later. It would make no sense. He didn’t want to be here, so that is why I think he doesn’t want to come back here.”
Pep Guardiola admitted that the Manchester City squad has some loop holes which needs to filled.
The Spainish coach who is currently in his 4th year despite having a double of the EPL and a domestic treble last season. Have handed over the title to Liverpool with over 20 points gap and a record of 7 games left.
City have had a whole lot of defensive problems this season having failed to replace former captain Vincent Company, with club legend David Silva set to leave this summer.
Guardiola said, “It’s part of the process. We’d like to stay with the players who gave us what they did for the last decade, those of the last 10 years to be eternal, but we grow in years and sometimes we have to do it and replace them with new players”.
“For the absence of Vinny, David and Fernandinho and Sergio (Aguero) have one year left, and I don’t know if they will extend or not some players have to be replaced”.
“But it’s not a disaster thing, or bad thing, it’s part of football for the age, for the normal situation and circumstances.”
Manchester City are currently one leg into the UEFA champions league quarter finals having won 13 time champions Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
