Covid-19: Govt Allegedly Seals Lafia Hospital Apata in Ibadan

There are seven (7) new cases of coronavirus confirmed at Lafia Hospital Apata, in Ibadan, Nigeria as of Friday, 24th of April 2020.

Sofo.ng has gathered that a patient died and was tested positive of Covid 19 disease at Lafia Hospital Apata Ibadan on Friday.

As of Friday 24, April 2020, Oyo State has recorded seven new cases of the deadly novel Covid-19 virus.

In government’s reaction to the new cases of the virus, the affected hospital, Lafia Hospital Apata branch, has been shutdown and all the staff have been taken to UCH Ibadan for quarantine purpose in order to curb the further spread of the virus around the state.

According to an intel reaching Sofo.ng, two of the hospital staffs have ran away in order to avoid quarantine process.

As of Friday 24, April 2020, Oyo State has recorded seven new cases of novel Covid-19 virus.

However, World Health Organization in association with search engine giant, Google had immediately updated its homepage for searchers within the neighborhood of Apata Ibadan to warn people to stay alert of the incident at Lafia Hospital Apata Ibadan.

This is the current Google notification 🔔 for the residents of the Apata neighborhood where Lafia Hospital office is located.

One eye witness at the time who prefer to remain anonymous said,

I went to withdraw cash from the UBA ATM that is in front of Lafia Hospital Apata. Just like a movie, we just noticed security officials closing down the hospital. While the staffs were being ushered into the emergency ambulance.
