Sofo.ng can confirm that Anambra State Government has relaxed its Covid-19 pandemic lockdown order in the state to allow churches hold services.
Governor Obiano who made this known during a statewide live broadcast yesterday stressed that worshipers should (must) wear face masks before the religious gathering and ensure all WHO guidelines during worship, including, avoiding handshakes, regular hand washing, application of hand sanitizers, social distancing and others.
The Governor also confirmed the rumors that vehicular movements across the state have been relaxed till further notice, while noting that all entry into the State remain closed.
According to a news tip, Governor Obiano also confirm that all food and drug markets in the state are to open with immediate effect.
He noted that he will meet with market leaders on Monday, 27th April, 2020 pointing out that update about when to re-open the schools as well as when civil servants will be allowed to go back to their offices, will be announced soon.
This relief news is coming less than 24hours the 36 governors of the Federation agreed on interstate lockdown to curb the further spread of the danger across states of the Federation. The decision to strengthen the state border movement is a way to protect the unaffected states while those states with coronavirus impact could work on finding a solution instead of spreading it out.
