
Adebayo Osinowo, Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial district, popularly known as ‘Pepperito’ died at 65 from an unknown illness.
The cause of his death is yet to be made public, although family sources quoted stated that he died after a brief illness.
Until his death, he was the Senator representing Lagos East senatorial constituency at the National Assembly, and also serving as the Chairman, Senate Committee on Commerce, Industry and Investments.
Before winning the Lagos East Senatorial District election on February 23, 2019, he was a four time member of the Lagos State house of assembly, representing Kosofe constituency.
Osinowo’s political career began in the second republic serving when he served as a youth Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), under Late Moshood Kashimawo Abiola.
He earlier worked as a land officer with the Federal Ministry of Works, Lagos State.
He was the Managing Director at NITAL International for 17 years, and Managing Director at NIMCO International Co. Ltd for almost 13 years.
He also worked as Managing Director, at Extreme Piling and Construction Company Ltd, before venturing into politics.
