The Argentine got fed up with bust ups and instability in the club.

The six time Ballon d or winner who is seen as a quiet and shy personality has increasingly criticized the club actions.
A major criticism was to the Barcelona sporting director Eric Abidal, over his claims that some group of player reduced in their field output while under Valverde, in which the club captain replied via an Instagram post saying he shouldn’t tarnish the image of the players and they should take responsibility for their decisions.
Zidane in response to the forwards exit in an interview after the 1-0 win over Getafe on Thursday said, “I don’t know what will happen but we hope not because he is in this league and we want the best in this league.”
Messi had renewed his contract with the club 8 times since 2005, but is set to leave the club by 2021. The forward has always shown interest to return to boyhood club Newell’s Old Boys in Argentina.
