The Immediate past National Vice Chairman of All Progressives Congress (North West), Inuwa Abdulkadir is dead at the age of 54years old.
Sofonews.ng reported that Abdulkadir died on Monday morning.
Abdulkadir died at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto in the early hours of Monday after a brief illness.
The late Abdulkadir who was a member of the APC National Working Committee that was dissolved recently, was minister of Youth and Sports Development during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
Until his death, Mr. Abdulkadir was the chairman of Governing Council of the Sokoto State University.
The late Abdulkadir held the traditional title of Magatakarda Babba, (Chief Scribe) of the Sokoto Sultanate. He was the former Company Secretary of the state-owned Sokoto Newspaper Company, publishers of The Path Newspaper.
The Public Relations Officer of the University, Zayyanu Shehu, who confirmed the death, said his funeral prayer would take place at his Gawon Nama residence around 2pm on Monday.
He is survived by two wives and nine children.
